About Me

With a dedication to craft, Kat Tan keeps raising the bar. It's no wonder he has been awarded at international shows including the D&AD, Cannes Lions and The One Show. He has also won closer to home at the Long Xi Creative Awards, the China 4A Creative Awards and Effie Awards. Since then, he has been a juror at Spikes Asia, One Show Asia, LIA Chinese Creativity Show, Adfest, Greater China Effie Awards and White Square International Festival.

A veteran integrated creative now based in China, Kat spent the earlier part of his career honing his craft in Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. He even took a one-year sabbatical to work as a set art director in Los Angeles. Agencies include Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Dentsu (Tokyo) and Leo Burnett. Brands span from global brands like Minute Maid Pulpy, Oreo, Under Armour, Decathlon, Shiseido Anessa, Sands Macao and Nippon Paint. Other notable brands include Head & Shoulders, Tide, Lycra, Coke, Panadol and Lay’s.

Currently at AKQA, Shanghai, he is the Creative Lead & Head of Art for Nike, Jordan Brand and Lancôme.
